Fiscal Discipline
|
Our prosperity now and in the future is contingent upon our government being fiscally disciplined. We must reign in spending by reducing the size of government, reforming entitlement programs, eliminating government waste and reforming our tax code. We must eliminate the entitlement mentality that is spreading like a disease in our country and plant a spirit of self-sufficiency. We do this by stopping our government from providing services that can be best handled by the private sector and adopt market-driven policies that will help people provide for themselves. We cannot maintain our liberty if we rely on the government for our sustenance. The indiscriminate taking of property from one individual and the redistribution of it to others in the form of entitlements must be put in check. The Financial Report of the United States has stated for years that we are on an “unsustainable path,” and we cannot postpone reform and delay spending cuts any longer. |
